Do you identify as transgender, gender variant, or pre or post-op transsexual? Are you also an athlete who participates in some type of athletic competition (any level)?
If so, you are invited to participate in a study seeking to understand the experiences of trans identified athletes. I will be conducting 1-2 hour interviews in person, on the phone, or via e-mail during the period of November 2005-August 2006. All information will be confidential and you may choose to use a pseudonym.
I am a transgender graduate student conducting this research through the Women’s Studies Department at the State University of New York in Albany, NY. This project has been approved by the Institutional Review Board and will be used for my master's thesis.
