Looks like I just missed the Outsports Fantasy Baseball league. =(

I've set up a league on Yahoo Sports if anyone is interested in joining. There's four of us slated to play at the moment. Could use a few more teams.

Sheesh, doesn't this make the third league to be forming? I'm impressed. Makes me wonder what it's going to be like for Fantasy Football? I can't wait.

eddiem, we have 12 teams in another Yahoo league. I expanded the max teams to 16 if you want to join. Here are the instructions:

You need a Yahoo ID to play. This link should take you to the sign in page. Once you sign in with your Yahoo ID, click on "Join a Custom League or Public League" then click on "Join a Custom League." Then you need to enter the League ID# which is 65195 and the password is "outsports." Then you choose your team name, etc. Right now it is set for a live draft on a Saturday morning. You can pre-rank the players for the draft so you have a better chance of getting the players you want. Yahoo has pretty good help features to explain the rules, etc.

Let me know if you have any trouble signing up.

I want to remind those that are in the Yahoo Fantasy Baseball league that the live draft is this Saturday, April 3rd at noon EST .

I'm hoping most people show up for it as it will go much quicker. If people are no shows, I think everybody has to wait the full 90 seconds before a selection is made. If that happens, it will make for a long day with 14 teams and 22 rounds.

If you aren't going to make the draft, please let me know either by posting a message here or send me a PM. Please include your team name.

the Stats are made retroactive to the beginning of the season, so the Yankees/Devil Rays games on Tue/Wed should be included in the first week.

I have officially joined this league as the 16th (and presumably final) member, since that is the max number of owners allowed by yahoo....lookin forward to the draft on Saturday @ Noon.

Between this one and the Outsports CBSSportsLine Fantasy league set up by BillSF (with 10 teams) we should have plenty of competition to talk about on this board....I'm already psyched up for a GREAT 2004 baseball season -- PLAY BALL!

Okay, the League has been expanded to 18 teams. I'll be upgrading the League to a Fantasy Plus League so there will be a fee of $7 or $8 to play. After Draft day I'll send an e-mail to the teams on how and where to pay.

Week one is over and this league is already heating up. Going into the last game Sunday night, the Giants and Padres, I was tied in runs scored and 2 hits behind Fightin Yankees. His players were done. All I had left was Marquis Grissom. Marquis went 4 for 5 and scored twice to give me a couple close call victories.

This league is cool. Still can't wait for football though.

Looks like I'm at the top of the standings when last week I was at the bottom. This is my first year doing fantasy baseball. I just assumed that I'd be in last place all season. Well, I'm going to enjoy my one and only week at the top.

I assume you are "Slippery Weasels" then? I'm Desert Rats. I'm sitting right in the middle, right on .500. I can't complain. The Stat Tracker on this site is really cool. I'm assuming the Stat Tracker was part of the "Plus" options we decided to pay for. Stinger might have to fill us in on that one...

Yes, the StatTracker is a Plus option. My only regret is that I wish I had set it up as Head to Head competition based on points, similar to most Fantasy Football leagues. I enjoy following your Studs and seeing who are your Duds. It's harder to see that with our current system. But it's been a good season thus far. I'm not sure if I've ever been this interested in baseball this early in the year!!

No, I'm in the other Yahoo league (Chicago Games 2006). Looks like I may win my matchup this week too. WOW!! Guess my lineup doesn't suck as much as I thought it did. But it's a LONG season and I know a lot can happen over the summer.

Stinger, I kind of like the league the way you set it up. I was still watching the Dodger game last night in the ninth inning. The game was long lost for the Dodgers, but Mota was pitching mop up, and Roberts got an extra at bat in the last inning. They are both on my fantasy team.

I like the Stat Tracker too. Once I started useing it I kept thinking it would be kind of boring without it.

Do you do Fantasy Football on Yahoo too? I've only played football with CBS Sportline.
