Many happy returns, Ian. To a great athelete and a great man, happy birthday!
The first time I ever saw Ian was on a live broadcast of a rugby match. The camera showed him just knocking the piss out of some guy. I could not believe how good looking he was.
It was something like 3 in the morning and I got on the phone to a buddy of mine in Sydney to ask who the hell that STUD was on the pitch. He responded, 'who, her? Thats Ian and he's one of us."
On my next trip down, I got the chance to meet Ian in person and was even more blown away by his good looks and charm. He is truly a god to me.
