Anyone watch men's gymnastics bar competition? Who the hell is this jackass that is commentating?
His demonization of the South Korean is unacceptable. Arggghhh! I need to write a letter.
And when feces comes out of his mouth like "The Romanians' IPO, sort of like google, has just went up!" I want to reach into the screen and strangle him with his microphone.

Here is a story criticizing Olympic coverage which seems to have been overtaken by the Bush administration.

Ha! Ha! Savvy, that's Tim Daggett a member of the 1984 gold medalist mens gymnastic team. Actually, I thought he and Elfie Schagel(did I spell it right?) were great. They really do know their stuff.

I think you are actually referring to Al Trautwig, who is alongside Tim Daggett. Trautwig was the one tonight who made the rude comment after the Korean gymnast fell. He said something like, "Well I don't think anyone can say that Paul Hamm didn't deserve the gold medal because I've never seen Paul have a performance near as bad as the one we've just witnessed from the Korean."

The comment was incredulous and really showed a lack of class on Trautwig's part. Further, it proves how little he knows about gymnastics, or sports in general, for that matter. All athletes have highs and lows... and just because someone fell on an apparatus one night doesn't mean they didn't perform the best the previous night. Ridiculous. If I were an NBC exec, he'd be reprimanded bigtime.

I can barely stomach NBC's coverage.

That's the moron! Please, please!! Help in my campaign to get him booted before winter Olympics comes around and we have to hear him during figure skating. Send an email.

I wish I had taped the Olympic coverage. I would have started a thread dedicated to asinine Al Trautwig comments.
