I thought of this while making a post in the Hot Jock Talk section about some of the KC Royals, so I thought I'd move the thought here where it seems more appropriate...

It's a nice thing to be seeing AL teams in person that I don't regularly see, living in an NL city. Even with interleague play, it was only in 2000 that I finally went back to the Vet after the 1994 strike and the subsequent Phillies meltdown. Last year I got to see the Yankees and Orioles against the Phils, but that was it for interleague play.

As far as AL games only, I saw an Orioles game once when I was on a weekend trip to DC and took a train to Camden Yards (I think it was against the Twins). It was the weekend OJ Simpson was arrested after the freeway chase.

In 1997 I saw two Yankees-O's games here. Last year, in addition to the above I went to a game in Yankee Stadium (NY vs Tampa Bay). I never saw the Red Sox until last month. And before today, I hadn't seen the Royals since the 1980 World Series. So it's interesting. And I'll hopefully see more teams here, at least until they go on strike.

And even though it opened 10 years ago and I've been here a number of times, Camden Yards is still awesome.
