I'm a huge baseball fan from Miami. My favorite teams are the Marlins, the Twins, and the Red Sox. And, in my opinion, if MLB is going to contract two teams, they should be the Yankees and the Mets (Need I say more).

It was a long time coming. Auburn University sits on the eastern plains of Alabama. It's not a big city, it's a little bit remote, and for most of the early years, didn't have a huge football stadium like some schools.

Assembled for Gay Games Amsterdam was a team of men playing in honor of a former teammate of ours who had just previously lost his life in an accident.  Plus Sonics and Huskies memories.

My beloved Capitals had finally made it to the Eastern Conference Finals, just one step away from the Stanley Cup Finals. This was the series that also solidified my hatred for Dominik Hasek.  Plus memories from all around Florida.

It was USC vs. UCLA, Florida vs. Georgia, the Yankees vs. the Red Sox. When LA Motion met the West Hollywood Quake for the gold medal it was like playing family.

Jim Allen
A great play by everyone concerned, it encapsulated why I love baseball. And I hate the dreary, faceless, choking dog Braves even more now!

At 15 years old, Jennifer Capriati was truly the prodigy of her time. Although everyone knew she was going to be a player to watch, nobody figured she would be the one to pull the upset of the tournament.  Plus other tennis memories.

Scott
It was 1989 and the Packers hadn't beaten the Bears in, oh, a thousand years or so, and it didn't look like it was going to happen this time, either.  Plus other Wisconsin memories.

Mike
When you see grown tough blue collar guys from NYC crying you know something special has happened.  Plus other New York memories.

It was over. With 50 seconds left on the clock, the Rhode Island Rams were leading the 3rd-seeded Stanford Cardinal, 77-71. This was not the year.  Plus, the World Cup, Steffi, and a 50:1 bet.

Randy Boyd
The venerable old building used in the movie ``Hoosiers'' was much more than a basketball shrine to this young black boy growing up. It was one of the first places I actually saw men's penises.  Plus, Reggie memories.

We all have those moments.  The ones when we're watching a triple overtime unfold, or we're hitting the last-second jumper ourselves - the ones that stay with us the rest of our lives.  They remind us of why we're passionate about sports - why everything from the Tallahassee Little League Championships to the Super Bowl can get us excited.

Some of us here at Outsports, and some of our readers, have put together our lists of our Top Moments In Sports.  We hope some of these lists remind you of "where you were when..." and that they inspire you to create your own list.  Whether you have 3, 5, 10, or any number of favorite sports moments, e-mail them to us and we'll post them here.
