The Olympics are a feast for the eyes, the most elite male and female athletes on the planet competing in tip-top shape as they go for gold. The competitions are intense and when they are over, athletes like to celebrate, many times with hugs and touches. At the Olympics, a thousand bromances (and their female equivalent) bloom.
The Wall Street Journal ran an article during the Games examining the sports with the most touching. It quoted a medical researcher as to the therapeutic benefits of touching during competition. Forget all that — we think it’s cool to see guys hug and embrace (and in some cases, to kiss).
