The Fourth of July weekend was ripe with softball, from Long Beach and Portland in the West, through Chicago in the Midwest, and all the way to Toronto and New York back East. As fireworks blanketed our nation’s skies, teams were creating their own fireworks by hitting balls into the stratosphere and creating some red-hot action. 

Traditionally, one of the busiest holidays for tournaments, the Fourth of July weekend didn’t disappoint this year, with nearly 200 teams competing in five gay softball tournaments. Here are the results of from four of those events (hopefully, I’ll get Toronto’s results soon).
