NFL & NFLPA: 'Gay' questions of draftees not OK

Ravens acquire CB Josh Wilson in trade with Seattle.

The Ravens gave Seattle a conditional fifth-round draft pick, which can become a fourth-round pick based on Wilson's performance and playing time with the Ravens. Wilson isn't the biggest or most physical corner but is know for being very fast and an excellent return man. We all suspected that the Ravens would make a trade for a corner. Wilson isn't Asomugha, but I think this is an excellent move... especially for only a fifth-round pick. "He’s an extremely fiery and aggressive player, and I think he’s very talented," said Foxworth, who played with Wilson for three years at Maryland. "I know his personality fits into what we’re building here. Josh is a no-nonsense type of guy that fits in with this defense and what it means to be a Raven. Off the field, he is a high-integrity guy. He’s a family man, who is very smart and community-minded."

In Defense Of The First Two Days Of Falcon Free Agency

A defense of the path the Atlanta Falcons seem to be choosing in free agency by a guy who has been miserably wrong in doubting new general manager Thomas Dimitroff in the past.

The Atlanta Falcons didn't make much noise in the first day of free agency. The Falcoholic's readers weigh in on the much anticipated second day.

Baltimore Ravens Sign Domonique Foxworth

Okay, this isn't the best news I've heard all day. The money involved here is significant for a guy with less than one full season of quality play under his belt, but I was really hoping the Falcons would re-sign him somehow. We'll be looking cornerback within the first four rounds, methinks, and Chevis Jackson better be ready to roll.

The Atlanta Falcons re-sign several free agents who will provide quality depth, but have let at least two key free agents test the market. How will the team be affected?

Dave the Falconer expresses some confusion with a new report that links the Atlanta Falcons to rookie cornerbacks. Is there a need for the Falcons at that position?

Of Lawyer Milloy And Domonique Foxworth

Lawyer Milloy wants to go to the Seahawks, to which I reply "okay." Lawyer did some good things while he was here, but he also began showing his age and sort of got in a little bit of legal trouble there, so this isn't the end of the world. Move Thomas DeCoud or Erik Coleman over to SS and draft another safety in the middle rounds. Problem solved. Foxworth, on the other hand, must be signed. There's some conflicting viewpoints on how good Foxworth was for us last year, but here's mine: He was a very good tackler who played pretty good in coverage. On a team with a truly top flight corner, he'd be a solid number two. For this Falcons team, he's clearly the best option until Chevis Jackson has a little time to grow. Make it happen, Comrade!

Falcons and Bucs Recap: There's No Shame In Winning Ugly

The Atlanta Falcons stay in the thick of the playoff race with an ugly win over the Tampa Bay Bucs. The Falcoholic takes a look at the aftermath.
