ESPN headline tonight: “Rockies to play in 1st world series in team history.” The ESPN guys were getting pretty worked up about it.
I have to agree with Jim Allen. Compared to the yawn that much baseball has been in recent years, the Rockies bring some underdog excitement. Some good young pitchers, some crisp hitting. Good grief, I might get my head out of auto racing and horse racing long enough to watch the Series and see if this team walks away with it.
