The Philadelphia Eagles need to give a game ball to Jessica Simpson, the girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. He was pathetic in the Eagles’ 10-6 upset win in Dallas. Romo was 13 for 36 with three interceptions and no touchdowns, the first time in three years the Cowboys have failed to score a touchdown. He also hurt the thumb on his throwing hand during the game.
Why blame Simpson? She was shown numerous times on Fox sitting in a luxury box wearing a Cowboys shirt with a pink No. 9 (how romantic) and J.P., the Cowboys fan I was watching with, swore all game about how Romo spent more time boinking Jessica than studying the Eagles defense. He might have a point. This is the second consecutive year that a girlfriend of Romo attended a December Cowboys-Eagles game and the second time the 'Boys have lost. Andy Reid should hire whomever Romo is dating next year as an Eagles assistant for the week (see the next blog post for how an Eagles fan feels about it).
