I was so disappointed in LaDanian Tomlinson’s whining after his team’s playoff loss to the Patriots last season (“They showed no class at all . . . and maybe it comes from the head coach”), and he hasn’t stopped since. He shot a Nike commercial in the offseason that was supposed to feature him running against the Patriots, but he whined and they changed it to the Bears (who stuffed him on Sunday).
Now he’s whining some more about how classless the Patriots are, and how they, essentially, only win by cheating: “I think the Patriots actually live by the saying, ‘If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying.’ They live off that statement. Nothing surprises me really.”
Waaaaa. Waaaaaaaaaaa. LT needs to shut his trap and stick to running, catching, and throwing the football. He’s far too great a player to get caught up in this nonsense. My guess is he’ll have a great game at Foxboro on Sunday; he did last time he was there. But if he doesn’t, I’m sure he’ll whine about it. -Cyd Zeigler jr.
