I am a huge fan of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. I have defended him from people who criticize his play, his looks (I think thought he’s pretty handsome), his playoff record and even his commercials. But this is indefensible: Peyton Manning has grown a mustache and facial hair. Thus ending his chance of ever making my All-NFL Hot team (until he shaves).
“It’s been the most popular question today,” Manning said of his new whiskers at a press conference for Gatorade at the Super Bowl in Phoenix. “No real explanation, just hadn’t shaved since the season ended.” Asked what his wife, Ashley, thinks, he said, “She liked it.” What does she know? —Jim Buzinski
