Weekend hot jock: Best of 2009

We featured several dozen athletes in our Weekend Hot Jock series this year, so we figured we'd start the new year with a recap of the best of 2009. Maybe the top standout was Minnesota wide receiver Eric Decker.

Decathlete Trey Hardee won the decathlon gold medal at the World Track and Field Championships in Berlin.

Norwegian Greco-Roman wrestler Kim-Idar Molnes is from Oslo and is 20 years old. He's also a past KOTH contestant.

Benjamin Starke is a 22-year-old who's competed at the highest level for several years. He swam in the Beijing Olympics in three events - 4X100m freestyle, 4X200m freestyle and 100m butterfly.

Fabian Hambüchen is one of the rare gymnasts who has broken through with a wide appeal in his country, being named the 2007 German sportsperson of the year.
