Before the race for the medal count gets into high gear, I wanted to point out that after nine medals have been handed out, nine countries all have one apiece. Kind of a nice moment. Also, Slovakia has won its first gold medal ever, awarded to Anastazia Kuzmina for 7.5km biathlon. Could Ghana be next?
