George Washington University has ended Kye Allums’ basketball season. The transgender junior guard played in only seven games this season as concussions kept him sidelined.
In an Outsports exclusive, Allums' mother, Rolanda DelaMartinez, says the school has mishandled Allums' playing time and has prevented her son from talking with the media. In addition, she alleges the school stifled the fact that Allums is having gender-reassignment surgery, which is scheduled for late May.
