The WWE is finally trying to catch up to TNA wrestling. After decades of gay-baiting and homophobic slurs by WWE executives, writers and wrestlers, the nation's most-watched pro wrestling group now claims it is against "discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation," in response to outreach by GLAAD.

Forgive me if I'm doubtful. You don't erase decades of hate and anti-gay taunts with a couple meetings and a press release that you don't even post on your own Web site. In fact, WWE didn't even post the release under the press release section of their corporate site! There's a message from Jon Cena (one of the alleged perpetrators) about Japan, but not a word about fighting anti-gay discrimination. I'll believe they've changed their tune when I see it.
