I always enjoy seeing videos for the It Gets Better Project that include athletes, even more so if they feature young athletes. Videos that include people in the target range of the It Gets Better audience have an immediacy often lacking from those made by older LGBT people.

Three athletes from Whittier College in Southern California (Richard Nixon's alma mater) joined other students in creating a video as part of Campus MovieFest this fall. The athletes are Jordan Vega of the track team, Alyssa Sialarus (volleyball and track) and Jan Soka (rugby).

"Even if they don't accept the gay part of me, they accept the athlete part," says Vega in the video.
