Openly gay film director Joel Schumacher has gotten behind the lens for a new short film, Man in the Mirror, which is now in the PBS Online Film Festival. The story is about basketball star Jason, who has a beautiful girlfriend but has sex on the side with the gayest guy in school. For some strange reason he meets his f**k buddy during school in the locker room, kissing and embracing him…and “shockingly” gets caught. The film ends with what is played as a tough decision for Jason.

While it's got a world-class director, the writing and acting leave a bit to be desired. Still, with so few stories of gay athletes told on film, we'll take it. You can watch the 15-minute film below.
