Team DC has sold 3,000 tickets to their Night Out at the Nationals next Tuesday, June 19, according to the Federation of Gay Games. As far as we know, that makes it the largest “Gay Night” ever at a professional sporting event. Openly gay Congressman Jared Polis will throw out the game’s opening pitch, and the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington will sing the National Anthem…along with other LGBT-oriented aspects of the experience. The game features the Nationals and the Tampa Bay Rays, both of whom are in first place in their divisions as of this posting.
