Stanford University will celebrate their inclusion in Campus Pride’s list of the 10 most LGBT-friendly college athletic departments with a reception and ceremony this Thursday, June 7. And as added bonus, I’ll be speaking at the event. It’s quite an honor for me to return to my alma mater all these years later and speak about an issue that was burning in my brain while I was there. The event is spear-headed by alumna Kathy Levinson, and sponsors include CAPS, LGBT Community Resources Center, The Weiland Health Initiative, The Office for Religious Life and Queer Awareness Days (QuAD).

The event starts at 12noon on Thursday, June 7, at Chuck Taylor Grove, near Stanford Stadium. And lunch is being served. You can find the grove on this interactive campus map.
