A lesbian high school athletic director in San Luis Obispo, Calif., has been the target of at least three hate crimes over the last month. The first incident left the car of Bailey Brown covered with graffiti and the tires slashed. Other incidents targeted her at her school with homophobic slurs in at least four different locations. Brown has decided to take a public stand against the vandalism.

“These hateful people have decimated my confidence of everyday life,” Brown said. “Nothing is the same anymore. Being stalked, bullied, threatened, your property viciously attacked, your workplace violated, because of your private life? This is completely unacceptable.”
