The Federation of Gay Games tonight will announce their selection to host the 2018 Gay Games, and you can watch the announcement streaming live on the Web. The event will take place from 5pm to 7pm ET at the Renaissance Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland will host Gay Games 9 next summer.

The three finalist cities are Paris, London and Limerick, Ireland. The three finalists beat out Orlando and Amsterdam in a preliminary vote last winter.

All of the bidding committees have gone through a lengthy vetting process, including the creation of a bid document, an exchange of questions and answers, a site inspection and a presentation to the FGG general assembly meeting in Cleveland this weekend. I was part of the site-inspection team visiting the three finalists in July and will be on hand at the announcement.

Be sure to tune in tonight via their live streaming of the event on the Web.
