Seattle Sounders release video of overwhelming support for Robbie Rogers

Several Major League Soccer players and a coach come together to support the newly out athlete

On the same day professional soccer player Robbie Rogers came out publicly, Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders released a video showcasing unconditional support for the newly out gay athlete. Robbie, this is Sigi, your old coach but more than anything a friend. I'm very proud of the decision you made. You have my full support, I know you have the support of our players and you have the support of a lot of guys around the league. So, all the best as you move forward into your future.

The heartfelt messages of support make it pretty clear a gay athlete would be welcomed and embraced on the Seattle Sounders FC.

The video also showcases Major League Soccer's Don't Cross The Line campaign, which seeks to keep racism, sexism and homophobia out of the sport.
