TMZ caught up with Magic Johnson's son Earvin Johnson III on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles where he was hand-in-hand with a man TMZ claims is his boyfriend. The younger Earvin, who goes by "EJ," had some things to say (and not say) about his father's Dodgers and Lakers. Watch the video below.
When the gossip site caught up with the NBA legend for comment on his son being gay, he was a pro:
The Lakers legend tells TMZ, "Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way." Magic goes on, "We're very proud of him."
Magic previously cut ads for the fight against Proposition 8 in 2008. You have to wonder if he knew his then-15-year-old son was gay, and if that played a role in his decision to produce the ads.
One interesting tidbit: The younger Earvin, now 20, was conceived and was born shortly after Magic announced publicly that he had HIV. EJ attends NYU.
