Fox beats Allanna Jones to advance to the title match of Championship Fighting Alliance 11

MMA fighter Fallon Fox won her first professional match after coming out publicly as transgender two months ago, beating Allanna Jones in the third round of her Championship Fighting Alliance 11 bout. While many had questioned the legality and "safety" of her fighting other women, Jones left the ring without any abnormal injury and kept Fox at bay for almost the entire match.

Jones had chosen Aerosmith's 'Dude Looks Like a Lady' as her entrance music. Pretty disrespectful and mean-spirited, though it's no surprise from a community that in large part has tried to paint Fox as some villain in the sport. Predictably, Fox's entrance was met with a chorus of boos. But it didn't matter; She won the fight and won each round of it.

Fox's championship-match opponent will be Ashlee Evans-Smith. The two will face off some time in June for the $20,000 prize.

Bloody Elbow has a short write-up of the fight, including a GIF of Fox's winning knee-to-the-throat move (of which many haters have, predictably, questioned the legality).
