The Seattle Storm will celebrate and embrace Gay Pride this weekend. In addition to participating in Sunday's Pride parade, the team's game against the New York Liberty Friday at 7pm will be Pride Night at KeyArena. The evening's festivities will include:

  • First 3,000 fans receive a rainbow Storm koozie
  • 2012 Pride Idol Chase Silva will sing the national anthem
  • Pregame concourse party brought to you by the WildRose, featuring DJ Ricki Leigh
  • Special performance by Mary Lambert from Macklemore's hit song "Same Love" at halftime

Tickets are only $25. And if you buy three tickets, you get a fourth ticket free! You can get tickets at Ticketmaster's Web site, and you can find more information at the Storm's Web site.

The team already head a Pride picnic two weeks ago. This is what you call embracing the community, and it's fantastic to see the Storm and the WNBA stepping out with us!
