Love love love this commercial for Visa featuring Michael Sam. In the commercial he talks about his perceived shortcomings – a slower-than-expected 40 time at the NFL Combine – and welcomes judgment for that (along with, of course, his ability to win games). The subtext is that he doesn't want to be judged for being gay a message he has shared publicly several times.
The ad reflects Sam's character: A guy who knows he's not perfect but is driven to be the best football player he can be.
