The Univ. of Arizona has a new LGBT-inclusive banner in the athletic department demonstrating support for all athletes, as long as they're playing for the Wildcats. Jon Denton-Schneider, a former Arizona swimmer who came out on campus and publicly, shared the positive development on Facebook:

Check out this banner we put up right next to the weight room in the UA Athletic Department! It went up last week and already 150 student-athletes, coaches, academic advisors, and administrators have signed it. We hope it sends a powerful message about being an Arizona Wildcat to current student-athletes and recruits.

Among the signatures on the banner is that of Univ. of Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne. His signature, with a prominent cursive "G" and "B," is in the lower left part of the signatures.

Arizona has had at least a couple varsity athletes come out while competing for the Wildcats, including Denton-Schneider and fellow swimmer Lauren Neidigh.
