Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith deleted and then reposted on Instagram a post where he called Caitlyn Jenner "that science project."
Smith had deleted the original post after commenters rightly slammed him but it reappeared when Smith reposted a photo shared by Snoop Dog. That repost is now been deleted.
This kind of crap is what transgender people have had to put up with their whole lives and morons like Smith only make it worse. The only bright side is that he got enough pushback that he was compelled to delete it.
In 2012, the NBA fined Smith $25,000 for tweeting an "inappropriate" photo of a woman in a thong. What he said about Caitlyn Jenner is worse and we'll see if the NBA acts.
The Cavaliers play the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals starting Thursday and I now have a clear rooting interest.
