Simon Dunn, an openly gay bobsledder from Australia, has been voted the hottest man in the world by the readers of Attitude magazine, a British gay publication. Dunn beat out two-time champion, Tom Daley, himself an openly gay athlete.

"I just want to say thanks to everyone who voted for me for their ongoing support and I hope that my win can help spread the word about equality in sport," Dunn, 27, told the magazine. "If I can make one young gay teen see that sexuality shouldn't be a factor in sport then that's a win in itself."

Dunn lives and trains in Calgary and hopes to become good enough to qualify for the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea. He has an active Twitter page, where is not shy about posting shirtless photos of himself (he said he loves to take selfies in his underwear).

He is also taking a stand on trying to get same-sex marriage legalized in Australia, where legislation has been stymied.

Of course, the hottest man list is very subjective and kind of silly but fun. The Top 10 finalists are all white and most are actors or athletes. Not very representative but harmless and it's cool an openly gay athlete got recognized.
