Oh the magic of gay extrasensory powers!
Each of the last two years, Outsports has pre-determined the Super Bowl winner in December. Yes, you read that right. This little corner of the gay sports world has demonstrated the ability to decide who wins the big game every year.
It all started last year when Outsports was credentialed for the Super Bowl. It was decided two months before the game that Cyd – a lifelong New England Patriots fan – would cover the game. Lo and behold, the Patriots not only appeared in but won the Super Bowl in what would be shocking fashion.
It was soon after Super Bowl XLIX that we decided Jim would attend Super Bowl 50 if Outsports were again credentialed for the game. Jim has been a Peyton Manning fan since he entered the league, and his fandom has followed No. 18. Despite being underdogs in the AFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl, Manning and the Denver Broncos won with Jim watching from the press box.

With the Super Bowl in Houston next year, we may be looking for someone to report on the game for Outsports (given Houston’s failure to protect LGBT people). We’ll be taking applications from all Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions fans soon….
