Hi Tops is celebrating Super Bowl weekend in San Francisco with this Friday-evening kickoff that will support the Sports Equality Foundation. Hi Tops has been around for a few years and is one of the hottest spots in the Castro.
Sam has been busy aiming for a return to the NFL this season, while Welts helped lead the Warriors to an NBA title last year. The Outsports crew is in the Bay Area for Super Bowl 50.
The Sports Equality Foundation is the new name for the StandUp Foundation and focuses on empowering LGBT people in sports through support and visibility. It is akin to "The Victory Fund for athletes."
