Out women both get wins in handball for Brazil and France

The two publicly out athletes in handball both started the Olympics with a victory. Alexandra Lacrabère and her French teammates beat the Netherlands, 18-14, with Lacrabère scoring five goals to lead all scorers in her match. Goalkeeper Mayssa Pessoa and Brazil won a high-scoring match, 31-28, against Norway. The Norwegians won the gold medal for women's handball at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
