Outsports will host its Outsports Reunion this year at Denver Pride, June 15-18. Denver Pride is one of the largest pride festivals and parades in the country.

Bringing messages of inclusion and empowerment to the mountain and plain states is important to us at Outsports. Hosting in Denver is a great opportunity to engage in one of the country’s biggest prides and also bring our message to an area of the country often ignored.

Anyone who is LGBT in high school, college or professional sports is welcome. Whether you are an active athlete, coach, administrator, executive or sports-media member, we’d love to host you for the weekend. Attendees must be at least 18 years old as of June 15, 2017.

The weekend will include:

  • Intimate sharing and meet-n-greet gathering Friday afternoon
  • Pride Night at the Rockies on Friday night (promo code: PRIDE), with Mile High Party Weekend after-party.
  • Special storytelling event on Saturday night
  • Marching with other athletes, coaches and LGBT people across sports in the Denver Pride Parade
  • Several nighttime social events to socialize, share, dance and make new friends

Denver is central in the country and relatively easy to fly to for people across the country. For those looking to drive it’s within eight hours of Albuquerque, Billings, Kansas City and Salt Lake City.

Last year’s event at Chicago Pride brought together about 100 LGBT people in sports, representing a wide range of sports, locations, ages and perspectives. Attendees raved about the opportunity to meet other LGBT people in sports and spend several days together in such a celebratory atmosphere. Many of the attendees have stayed in touch and gotten together over the last year.

If you’re an LGBT athlete, coach or someone else in high school, college or professional sports, fill out our survey and we’ll keep you up-to-speed on the event!

If you are a fan of Outsports or sports in general, there will be opportunities to engage throughout the weekend. We will be posting those public events taking place in Denver later this spring.
