Shippensburg Univ. hurdler Austin Shupp has broken his own school record in the indoor 60-meter hurdles, running the race last Friday in the Susquehanna University Challenge in 8.19 seconds, a whopping three-hundredths of a second ahead of the previous school record.

As just a redshirt-sophomore, sky’s the limit for Shupp.

“It feels awesome to just finally get a new PR especially knowing that I have so much to still work on,” Shupp told Outsports. “I broke the record originally freshman year and then tied it in the first meet of last season before I got hurt and was out for the remainder of the year. I've put so much work in and my coaches have invested so much time in getting me back to where I should be so it feels great to finally re-break for not only myself but also them!”

Shupp came out publicly on Outsports a little over a year ago.
