The New York Gay Football League has been hosting a bachelor auction since its very first year in existence, all the way back in 2005. Each year eight to a dozen bachelors strut their stuff on the runway as potential suitors bid on a date with them. It’s always a lot of fun.

This year’s bachelor auction, benefitting GMHC, is tonight, Dec. 5, at Industry, 355 W 52nd St., near Ninth Ave. in Hell’s Kitchen.

One of the bachelors this year is Mason Darrow, the former Princeton football player who is now living and working in New York City. When the auction organizers asked him what was his best attribute headed into the auction, he gave two answers: “My sense of humor and also my ass.”

Other bachelors include Jerrell, who said if he were a dessert he’d be ice cream; Rocky, who apparently will drop his pants for you if you can get him to laugh; and Mark, who says he’ll leave you with memories that give you the “warm fuzzies.”

So head out to Industry tonight and support the New York Gay Football League, along with Gay Men’s Health Crisis. And you just might find someone to keep you warm.
