Ireen Wuest had quite a Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. The speed skater from the Netherlands won a gold medal and two silvers in these Games, setting records along the way.

Now she has been selected by her Dutch teammates to carry the flag for the Netherlands in the Olympics Closing Ceremony. She shared her joy on Instagram:

It’s quite an honor for the out Olympian, given the incredible success of the Dutch Olympic team, which will finish fifth in the medal count despite a population of only 17 million people.

During these Games, Wust earned several distinctions with her medal-winning performance.
