Outsports Pride will kick off in New York City with an opening party on the rooftop terrace of Boxers HK, the LGBTQ sports bar in Hell’s Kitchen. The party will take place Thursday, June 21, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Boxers is consistently rated amongst the best sports bars catering to the LGBTQ community. NewNowNext listed Boxers HK, in particular because of its rare New York rooftop terrace, as one of the seven best “gay sports bars” in America. Earlier this year, Hornet put it in their Top 10 in the country. Thrillist recently listed Boxers as one of the top LGBTQ bars — sports or otherwise — in New York City.
Registered attendees of Outsports Pride will have a private area with food on the rooftop terrace, so come to the event hungry! Registered attendees will also receive exclusive drink specials, courtesy of Boxers.
Outsports Pride will span four days at New York City Pride, June 21-24. It will bring together LGBTQ, straight and cisgender people in and around sports interested in learning more about inclusion and building bonds across the community. Events planned include a series of LGBTQ-sports discussions at the Dream Hotel, the Dodgers-Mets game, social events and participation in New York City Pride March.
Boxers HK is located at 742 Ninth Ave., at W. 50th St., just one block west of the C and E trains and two blocks from the 1 train.
