The Miami Marlins will give away a trucker hat with the team’s logo in rainbow colors as part of their Pride in the Park, Friday, June 29, at 7:10 p.m. vs. the New York Mets.

Partial ticket sales go to Safe Schools South Florida, which works to make K-12 schools safer for LGBTQ children and improve their wellness, emotional and academic outcomes, said Brad Koogler, the group’s executive director.

Safe Schools is also partnering with the South Florida Amateur Athletic Assn. (an LGBT softball league) and the Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

The National Anthem will be performed by the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida.

Tickets range from $32 to $60 and can be purchased here.

The Marlins are one of 23 Major League Baseball teams to hold a Pride event this year. They are also one of 11 teams to be giving away hats with a rainbow theme.
