Out LGBTQ wrestler Ashley Vox enjoyed a banner year in 2019 alongside her tag team partner and sister Delmi Exo. Collectively known as Team Sea Stars, Vox and Exo competed in stellar matches across the country, capped by a SHIMMER tag team championship victory in November. And it didn’t take long for the duo of “reel” catches to carry that track record into the new year.

Vox and Exo defeated The Ugly Ducklings to become the first ever Battle Club Pro tag team champions at Saturday’s One For All event in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. The two defeated the team of Masha Slamovich and Violette earlier that night to earn their spot in the title match.

Team Sea Stars’ championship victory continues their upward trend within Battle Club Pro’s ring after defeating one of the industry’s best tag teams, All Elite Wrestling’s Santana and Ortiz, at Battle Club Pro’s Anything You Can Do event in September.

Vox is now the second out LGBTQ reigning champion in Battle Club Pro, joining current BCP Franchise champion Anthony Bowens.

But neither Vox nor Exo are ready to rest after wrapping even more gold around their waste. Battle Club Pro management is already calling for worthy challengers to their titles, including another sibling duo: out LGBTQ wrestler Diamante and her brother KC Navarro.
