Good morning and welcome to The Huddle for today, Oct. 12, 2020. And yeah, it’s Monday. Most banks, schools, post offices and government offices are closed for what is officially “Columbus Day,” but my town, my children and I consider today Indigenous People’s Day.

Today is #NationalComingOutDay There is nothing like living an authentic life. It allows a freedom that is necessary to grow as a human being. My only regret is that I wish I did it earlier. We continue to fight for inclusion until everyone can safely experience acceptance. https://t.co/n1HZwJ3tSD #gay #comingout #instagay #gaysofinstagram #bear #bearsofinstagram #betrue #courageiscontagious #authentic

HAPPY NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY! It’s been about 7 years and I’m still coming out everyday. In those 7 years I’ve slowly learned to accept and love myself. Coming out is something almost every LGBTQ+ person has to go through. It’s a slow journey and a scary moment when you finally tell the ones you love. When someone’s does come out it always goes two ways: their family accepts and love them who they are or they disown their child. Today we still see the latter and it’s just sad. I hope one day this doesn’t happen. Every LGBTQ+ youth will be accepted by their parents and loved ones because no one should feel alone and unloved in this crazy world we live in. Everyone should be free to love who they love! Let it be a fact that the person you love will not affect anyone else’s life except yours. Keep loving and never stop! ❤️ #nationalcomingoutday #pride #gay #lgbtq #loveislove #proudboy #keeploving #love #gayathlete #selflove #comingoutday

I’m so sad to not be able to watch the @WNBA or @NBA anymore. But proud to be part of a team that continues the fight, cause there is no off season for change!!! The work continues. we aren’t going anywhere. ✊ pic.twitter.com/88yNEtEOjD
