OutShouts:

The GO! SPACE group welcomed a new member: Maggie Zerbe!

Zerbe writes: “I grew up in Bethlehem, PA… After high school, I attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA., a small liberal arts college with Division III athletics. There, I competed on a nationally ranked women’s basketball team and majored in media and communication. I knew I was gay as far back as my freshman year of high school but only came out during my junior year of college. After college, I worked for NFL Films as a production assistant and then got a full time job with the Philadelphia 76ers where I now work as a producer/editor. I’ve been fortunate enough to produce content for Pride month with the 76ers and highlight social justice issues on our digital platforms. I’m proud that I’ve had a role in sharing LGBTQ stories and hopefully broadening the views of the Philadelphia sports fanbase.”

If you’re an LGBTQ person in sports looking to connect with others in the community, head over to GO! SPACE to meet and interact with other LGBTQ athletes, or to Equality Coaching Alliance to find other coaches, administrators and other non-athletes in sports.
