The Equality Coaching Alliance welcomes a new member: Joe Recupero!

Recupero writes: “I worked for 2 decades in live sports production at CBC Sports and have worked on and produced practically every sport at time and another... my tenure at CBC Sports was late 80s to around 2008 full time... and I was def part of the “don’t ask, don’t tell era”... where it was assumed and talked about that I was part of the gay community but it just was not talked about (which I look back on now with HUGE regret)... I started teaching part time, found I loved it, went and got my Masters degree and slowly transitioned into a full time academic career at Ryerson... in 2015 I was hired full time... I got tenure last January!! We have OUT students in our program, which is something never would have happened when I went to Ryerson... things do change and I have seen huge changes in society and acceptance especially here in Canada... We do a podcast here at RTA Sport Media called SPORT TOKZ with Sport Profs.”
If you’re an LGBTQ person in sports looking to connect with others in the community, head over to GO! SPACE to meet and interact with other LGBTQ athletes, or to Equality Coaching Alliance to find other coaches, administrators and other non-athletes in sports.

Great book news! Congratulations to Dale Scott and Rob Neyer!
For a long time I've wanted to collaborate with a fascinating baseball person on a book. For a long time I've also wanted to publish with @UnivNebPress, who consistently do incredible work. Well, now I'm doing both those things! With longtime MLB umpire Dale Scott! April 2022!
