The coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns definitely put a damper on the British pro wrestling scene in 2020. But two of its heartfelt favorites gave everyone a cause for joy over the weekend.

Pro wrestler Jetta and retired pro wrestler “Fearless” Charlie Morgan announced their engagement via Instagram on Sunday. “Today has been the best day,” Jetta said alongside photos of British wrestling’s LGBTQ it couple and her engagement ring. “Today has been perfect,” Morgan added.

The two in-ring veterans regularly competed together in the all-women’s promotion Pro Wrestling EVE, including against each other. Their time together in EVE saw major life moments, such as when Morgan came out in the ring in 2017, and endearing peeks into their relationship. Most notable among those was when Jetta donned her partner’s gear during Kris Wolf’s retirement show in 2019, becoming “Fearful” Jetta Morgan for one night only.

Morgan was forced to retire due to an ankle injury in 2019 yet remains a key figure within LGBTQ and women’s wrestling circles. But the loving couple seems more than happy to exchange sharing one ring for another.

We at Outsports congratulate both Jetta and Charlie Morgan on saying yes to the age-old question “Shall I?”
