We gathered four amazing LGBTQ athletes to chat with our community, and you can watch the conversation here. It was an intimate conversation with people hoping to head to the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo. Yes, despite taking place in 2021, the Games are still referred to as the 2020 Olympics.

They talked about various elements of being an out LGBTQ athlete, not the least of which has been how to stay in shape during the COVID pandemic. Each of them has taken a different approach, though all of them said they’d be hard-pressed to be competition-ready in the near future.
They also talked about the support they’ve received from people in their sport and the path they each have to qualifying for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
