Summer is still the season of love. Australian women cricketers Delissa Kimmince and Laura Harris have been dating for the last four years, and since 2018, they’ve played on the same club. And now, they’ve vowed to spend the rest of their lives together.

The two cricket players recently announced their marriage on Instagram. The ceremony was held in South Australia, and the scenery looked gorgeous. Kimmince shared a message of gratitude, below a stunning picture of the happy couple embracing each other.

“Thank you to everyone who made our wedding day the best day of our lives,” she wrote. “To all our family and friends who shared this day with us, we are truly grateful for all the love and good times we get to share with you.”

Last year, the couple played for the Brisbane Heat Women, and were crowned champions of the Women’s Big Bash League. They announced their engagement following the final.

Though the wedding took place on the other side of the world, it is always uplifting to see LGBTQ athletes living as their true selves. Kimmince and Harris’ status as teammates didn’t stop them from pursuing happiness.

As Time Now News points out, multiple female cricketers have tied the knot in recent years. Progress is being made all over the world.
