Some gay guys like musclemen. Some like jocks. Some like nerds. Some like daddies and some like twinks. But this post is not for them. Instead it’s for the guys who like bears, go on Growlr and pack Provincetown every summer for Bear Week.
Bear Week has temporarily moved to Paris in the form of the men’s shot put. It’s Bear Heaven, a mix of the hirsute and strong muscle with nary an ab in sight.
I texted a bear-loving friend of mine while the shot put was going on and he was loving it. “Yeah, Joe Kovacs. A staple for the bears on Tumblr.” “Then there’s Tom Walsh from New Zealand. Freaking stunning.”
So on this summer weekend, if you want to get your minds off of the news, just go bear watching, Olympics-style. Here are some of the guys from Day 1 of shot put. The finals will be held Saturday.
