Our industry-leading database of out LGBTQ athletes at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris will include profiles of the out gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and nonbinary athletes.

The Paralympics take place Aug. 28-Sept. 8. In Tokyo 2021 there were 36 out Paralympians, and 12 in Rio in 2016. The initial list will include first-time Paralympians, as well as other Paralympics veterans who return to the Games in Paris.

Our interactive list allows you to filter by country, sport and competition category, making it easy to find and learn more about each athlete. Whether you’re looking for athletes from your home country or interested in a specific sport, our database is designed to help you connect with and support these athletes. Note: Equestrian and wheelchair rugby are nongender events, so those athletes can be found under that competition category.

The increased representation of LGBTQ athletes with disabilities in the Paralympic Games highlights substantial progress towards inclusivity and acceptance within the sports community.
