Nike has done it again, demonstrating class support for the visibility of a gay athlete. This time they took the rainbow that has come to symbolize the LGBT community, and that has been a cornerstone of their patented BETRUE campaign, and applied it to openly gay skier Gus Kenworthy's ski goggles. The result is brilliant, and the gesture was certainly not lost on Kenworthy:

Kenworthy and Nike make a great match, given how much attention each of them has brought to the conversation about LGBT athletes. Kenworthy came out publicly as gay last year in an ESPN article, eventually revealing he had considered doing it in Sochi. Nike has been supporting the LGBT sports movement with its BeTrue line for the last few years. This year's line will come out later this spring.
